Hungarian-American researcher Katalin Karikó, who researched on mRNA to laid the foundation for developing of vaccine against Covid-19, was awarded the American Great Immigrants Award 2021 – an award honoring those who have great contributed to social service. Besides that, many scientists also believed that she might won the Nobel Prize in Biomedical Medicine 2021.
