Fifteen countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, China and South Korea, have signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement. The RCEP economic zone accounts for nearly one-third of the world’s population and gross domestic product (GDP), making it becomes one of the largest free trade agreements (FTAs) in the world.
