Hungarian dried fruits – Using the fruits of the Carpathian Basin in a different way

Hungary’s dried fruit processing industry provides outstanding performance. In 2020, exports reached $8.09 million. But not only dried fruits are popular, fresh and processed fruits also represent a high export value. The country’s natural features, climatic conditions, fertile soil and abundant rainfall have a favorable effect on fruit growing. There are more than 5 million hectares of agricultural land in Hungary, of which 94.4 thousand hectares are orchards. The Hungarian government supports the introduction of dried fruit products on international markets, so they are exported to Asia, including Vietnam. In order to ensure adequate supply, Hungarian businesses treat fruits with special attention, with the aim of ensuring that they are of the right quality.
